I know it’s sometimes hard to meet for a therapy session at my office. You may be too busy, live too far away, be stuck at work, experiencing Covid related concerns, or have trouble finding childcare or transportation. To make it easier for you, I’ve added video counseling services to meet this growing need. Now I can meet wherever it’s most convenient for you — your office, your car, or even your living room.
Very similar to Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime, SimplePractice.com is easy to use – I promise! All you need to start the virtual counseling session is the web link, a standard computer, or the SimplePractice app on your mobile device. No special hardware or software is necessary.
You will receive an e-mail from me via SimplePractice 15-minutes before your session time, containing your individualized session link. When it is time for your appointment, you will click on the link for my virtual waiting room, and we will have a session similar to an in-office session.
In most situations, I have found that meeting with clients through video counseling is just as effective as meeting face-to-face. However, it is essential to note that counseling treatment plans are individualized and based on client needs. Virtual counseling may not be appropriate for everyone.
When having a virtual session, the same fees would apply as meeting within my office. Due to online counseling’s ease of use, you might be more likely to stick with your therapy program.
SimplePractice.com uses state-of-the-art security and encryption protocols, making it both secure and HIPAA compliant.
